EXPLORE THE SCHILCHERLAND BY BIKE
Explore the Schilcherland by bike along the well-signposted route 151. This pleasure tour more than lives up to its name. Along the leisurely 30-kilometre cycling route no less than 14 regional model companies open their doors for a visit and a taste of local delicacies.

SCHILCHER WINE ROUTE
The Schilcher Wine Route takes you through the romantic villages, vineyards, and wineries of the Schilcherland region which derives its name from Schilcher, the unique local rosé wine produced from the indigenous blue Wildbacher grapes. The Schilcher Wine Route is also perfect for taking the Schilcherlandchalet’s Fiat 500 for a spin.

WINTER AND SUMMER SPORT AT THE WEINEBENE MOUNTAIN RESORT
Located at an altitude of 1,886 meters on the border between Styria and Carinthia, the Weinebene is a popular destination in summer and winter alike. In winter, downhill as well as cross-country skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoers enjoy the Weinebene ski resort with more than 20 kilometres of slopes and tracks. During the summer months, the mountain is a true paradise for hikers and nature explorers.

SULM WATERFALL
The White Sulm waterfall connects the stream’s headwaters with its upper reaches, where it forms a canyon-like valley. At the head of the valley, the stream cascades down 60 metres in a stunningly beautiful waterfall, over moss-covered rocks which the sun enlivens with an intricate interplay of light and colour. In this enchanting place, time will stand still for a moment while you enjoy the powerful beauty of nature.

SCHILCHERLAND ALPACA TRACKING

SNOWSHOEING AT MOSCHKOGEL
A high-altitude hike along the Styrian-Carinthian border. The snowshoe trail to Moschkogel covers an altitude difference of approximately 300 metres, leading to a panoramic, easy to climb ridge with magnificent views.

CITY OF DEUTSCHLANDSBERG

FARMERS’ MARKET AT DEUTSCHLANDSBERG MAIN SQUARE
The local farmers’ market in the city’s main square is held on Tuesdays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and on Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., offering fresh, locally produced delicacies from fruit and vegetables, to meat, juices, pastries, bread, and poultry. Young and old meet at the farmers’ market as they do their shopping and engage in conversation.
